“The trail extension will take you from our beautiful historic downtown, through the wilderness, across the river, and end at the only organic brewery in Michigan, River St. Joe Brewery at Flatwater Farms. How cool is that,” says Rich Murphy, Buchanan’s community development director.

A new grocery store opens in downtown Albion, the first independent grocer in 30 years. With a focus on fresh and local products, the store aims to erase the region's food desert.

The Blue Light is a community-based space, offering free, live music, and spaces for musicians to play and record music. Their next concert is Feb. 2, a benefit for Safe and Sound, Midland’s only child abuse and neglect organization.
