Fur Babies Pet Care wins big in Reed City pitch competition
The annual pitch competition provides a platform for local entrepreneurs to share their ideas and compete for funding.

What’s happening: Nadine Sarabia, owner of Fur Babies Pet Care, won both the $10,000 Business Vibrancy Award and the $1,444 People’s Choice Award at the annual pitch competition – Downtown Pitch – in Reed City.
About the competition: The annual pitch competition provides a platform for local entrepreneurs to share their ideas and compete for funding that helps bring vibrancy and growth into the community. This year’s event featured three participants: Fur Babies Pet Care, Love Inc. of Wexford and Osceola counties/The INC Spot, and Homemade and More. The Downtown Pitch series is part of an ongoing effort to support entrepreneurship and business development throughout Middle Michigan communities.

What’s next: With the funding, Fur Babies Pet Care plans to finish building out its new location in downtown Reed City, making room for a new BBQ restaurant that will be moving into her previous space later this year. Additionally, the business plans to further enhance the pet care options available for customers in the Reed City area.
