Preserving a ‘Place of Peacefulness’

The Little Traverse Conservancy has preserved the largest unprotected, undeveloped parcel along the Lake Michigan shoreline between Charlevoix and the Mackinac Bridge. The wooded property, which includes one-quarter mile of shoreline, will soon be home to universally accessible trail.

Traverse City Tourism will donate $20 to designated Northern Michigan nonprofit organizations for every volunteer who helps pick up trash, remove invasive species or other tasks.
