The real star of March Madness is not the winning college basketball team -- or an individual player -- but the custom-built center court. The floors are made out of maple by Connor Sports in Iron County and shipped to arenas, where the company's agile team pieces the court together.
“This project’s additions to the Rabbit River Preserve will allow for more usage of the area, including during the colder months and poor weather,” says Dan Gilmartin, CEO and Executive Director of the Michigan Municipal League. “Additionally, these new amenities will attract more visitors, allow for more kinds of events to take place, and make the preserve a destination. This will greatly benefit the community and all who come to enjoy what the preserve has to offer.”

State and nonprofit officials are encouraging local governments and residents to review a map of internet coverage in Michigan. The goal is to prioritize underserved areas and use federal dollars to expand and improve internet infrastructure.

Details have been released as registration has opened up for the inaugural Michigan Agritourism Summit from Michigan State University Extension.
“With dozens of project entries, selecting only 10 finalists was difficult, but we’re excited to learn more about these projects from the community members most passionate about them,” says Brandon Hofmeister, president of the Consumers Energy Foundation.
“We are bringing a new technology on site that we previously sourced from out of state and overseas. We firmly believe that the value of automated USA manufacturing will continue to increase over the coming years,” says Kevin Karrip, who is vice president of G-M Wood Products in Newaygo.
