Crain’s Detroit Business names Hillsdale Hospital CEO a Notable Leader in Health Care 2026
Jeremiah J. Hodshire receives award for leading organizational improvement.
What’s happening: Crain’s Detroit Business has named Jeremiah J. Hodshire, president and CEO of Hillsdale Hospital, to its 2026 Notable Leaders in Health Care list. Hodshire was included in the list of 33 health care leaders in Southeast Michigan for driving improvements to his organization and profession.
About the award: The award is granted to individuals who are transforming the ways medical institutions respond
to patient needs, including the development of new programs and the expansion of care access in the community. Awardees include nurses, doctors and health care administrators who have made a difference for their patient population by improving clinical outcomes, reducing healthcare costs or otherwise improving their organization’s delivery of services.

About Hodshire: Hodshire has been working at Hillsdale Hospital since 2010 in various roles, and has served as president and CEO for six years. In his leadership of the organization, he has introduced new service lines including vascular care, neurosurgery and podiatry to better serve patients. He engages with the community by appearing on various media channels, such as social media livestreams, radio productions and Hillsdale Hospital’s podcast, Rural Health Today, to
share the mission of rural healthcare and help advance education and health literacy.
